Anna V. Eskamani’s New Campaign for Orlando Mayor Announces Historic Levels of Grassroots Support with $200,000 Fundraising Haul
Orlando, FL: In a remarkable show of grassroots support, State Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani announced today that she has received over $200,000 in contributions through the end of 2024 to support her campaign for Mayor of Orlando. This milestone, achieved through over 300 grassroots contributions to her campaign account since launching on December 16th, underscores the widespread enthusiasm for Eskamani’s bold vision for the City Beautiful’s future.
“To reach this milestone so quickly is extraordinary, and the support of so many Orlandoans deeply moves me,” said Eskamani. “This campaign is about the people, and every contribution—big or small—reflects the desire for leadership that prioritizes affordable housing, public transportation, sustainability, community safety, and opportunities for all. Together, we’re building a movement and vision that Orlando can be proud of.”
The campaign’s rapid fundraising success signals a groundswell of excitement and confidence in Eskamani’s candidacy. The contributions come from a diverse coalition of residents, from small business owners and educators to students and retirees, uniting behind a shared commitment to shaping Orlando’s future. Nearly 95% of donations came from Orlando area donors, too.
In addition to her impressive fundraising haul, Rep. Eskamani has also earned the early endorsement of many prominent Central Florida lawmakers, including Congressman Maxwell Frost, State Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith, State Representatives Johanna López and LaVon Bracy Davis, County Commissioners Kelly Semrad and Nicole Wilson, as well as State Attorney Monique Worrell, Property Appraiser Amy Mercado, Tax Collector Scott Randolph and School Board Member Stephanie Vanos.
